Community Solar Project Requirements
Applications for community solar projects must be made by an Approved Vendor and community solar projects have additional terms and conditions compared to distributed generation projects.
The community solar standard disclosures and marketing material guidelines have been finalized. The finalized documents have been published here. You can view the stakeholder process for document review here.
Due to the expected very high interest in community solar projects that will likely exceed the available funding, the Agency and the Program Administrator have developed the details of the lottery procedure that will be used to select which projects are approved for REC contracts. The final lottery procedures are located in the Program Guidebook.
Find a Community Solar Project
Should you be interested in subscribing to a community solar project, you may contact the following community solar projects on this page. This is not a complete list of all community solar projects participating in Illinois Shines, just those that have opted in to be listed here. There are also other community solar projects in the state outside Illinois Shines, including projects for low-income subscribers through the Illinois Solar for All Program. Please check back, as this page will be updated periodically.
Please note that any community solar project to which you subscribe must be located in the same utility territory (indicated in the list) as the utility from which you receive your electric bill.
