Community Solar Capacity Allocation Updates

On December 14, 2021, the Program Administrator published pro rata capacity allocations for Approved Vendors of waitlisted Community Solar projects as result of the passage of the Climate and Equitable Jobs Act (Public Act 102-0662 or “CEJA”).

As indicated in the “How does the Community Solar waitlist capacity allocation process operate FAQ”, Approved Vendors may transfer some or all of their allocated capacity within a Group to other Approved Vendors by executing a Community Solar Waitlist Capacity Transfer Confirmation form.

To facilitate market transparency, the Program Administrator has published an updated list of capacity allocations, inclusive of all transfers of allocated capacity that have been received and approved. This list will be updated on a weekly basis through March 14th, 2022.

Additionally, the FAQ on waitlisted Community Solar applications has been updated with clarifying information. Please review this FAQ for more information on what the law requires, how capacity was calculated, and guidelines for transferring capacity.
