Designees and Nested Designees registered prior to the start of the 2026–27 Program Year will be required to renew their registration and will receive an email on Monday, October 19, 2026, containing a link to their renewal form and unique login credentials.
Renewals must be completed by Monday, November 30, 2026, to maintain active registration in the Illinois Shines Program. Designees and Nested Designees who no longer wish to participate in the Program may indicate their withdrawal through the renewal process.
Designees and Nested Designees will be required to provide training materials and their Illinois Secretary of State Certificate of Good Standing. For additional information please refer to Section 4.G, Designee Renewal, of the Program Guidebook.
Please note that the Approved Vendor’s responsibility is to ensure that their Designees and Nested Designees are compliant with the renewal requirements. Non-compliance with this requirement may result in the Program Administrator requesting the AV provide its Designee Management Plan for Program Administrator review, as well as possible additional disciplinary actions as set out in the Consumer Protection Violation Response Matrix in the Consumer Protection Handbook.
Any Designees and Nested Designees that do not renew their status will receive a Notice of Potential Violation and may be subject to additional action as set out in the Violation Response Matrix.
