Additional Clarification on Small DG Block Capacity Dashboard

The Program has become aware of stakeholder confusion about available capacity in project categories via the Block Capacity Dashboard. Specifically, some stakeholders have interpreted the Submitted Capacity (the red segment) to be indicating a lack of remaining capacity in the Small DG Block. For clarity, ’Submitted Capacity’ represents Part I project applications that have been completed and moved to submitted status within the Portal but have not yet been batched. Applications become eligible to secure Program capacity once they are batched and the batch fee is paid or pending payment. The Submitted Capacity category is intended to provide insight into the volume of applications that may soon secure Program capacity if they are batched. Thus, Program capacity in the Small DG Block may still be secured until the Block’s capacity is exhausted by capacity allocated to 2023-24 waitlisted projects, Allocated Capacity, and Batched Capacity. As of this announcement, there are roughly 31 MW of capacity remaining in the Small DG Block. If you have questions, please contact the Program Administrator at [email protected]
