On September 26, 2024, the IPA announced the launch of a dedicated Small and Emerging Business Hub, with a goal to centralize industry-specific information to help small and emerging businesses navigate the clean energy sector successfully. The Hub serves as a tool for Illinois’s small and emerging business community to connect with targeted programs and resources that meet their needs in entering the clean energy economy.
The Hub, which resides on the Energy Workforce Equity Portal, streamlines new and existing resources to small and emerging businesses navigating the solar landscape in Illinois. The full announcement provides details on the Hub including resources available to AVs and Designees, the concept for the Hub, and highlights key features of the Hub.
The Hub, created by the IPA to address gaps and barriers in the small emerging business ecosystem, will be further built out with new tools and features in the coming months to equip small and emerging businesses with the resources needed to participate in Illinois’ growing clean energy market.
