< Back to Vendor Updates

The Illinois Power Agency (“Agency”) has released the draft Second Revised Long-Term Renewable Resources Procurement Plan for public review and comment.

Second Revised Long-Term Renewable Resources Procurement Plan:

The Agency welcomes public comments on the draft plan.

  • Written comments on the draft Second Revised Long-Term Renewable Resources Procurement Plan are due on Thursday, September 30, 2021.
  • The Agency will also hold a virtual public hearing for the Plan on Friday, September 3, 2021.

For more information on how to participate in the virtual hearing, and how to submit written comments, see the draft Second Revised Long-Term Renewable Resources Procurement Plan’s Cover Letter and Hearing Notice.

The Agency is aware that legislative negotiations on omnibus energy legislation, including substantial revisions to the Illinois Renewable Portfolio Standard, remain ongoing.  The Agency’s draft Second Revised Long-Term Renewable Resources Procurement Plan has been prepared consistent with, and as required by, current Illinois law. Should new omnibus energy legislation become effective during this public comment period, the Agency will review that legislation and determine if this draft Second Revised Long-Term Renewable Resources Procurement Plan should be withdrawn—likely with a new plan development cycle initiated upon that legislation’s effective date.  If so, the IPA will issue guidance to that effect.
