Illinois Shines Enhances Project Look Up Tool

Illinois Shines project applications undergo a multi-step review and approval process to protect customers and confirm systems meet Program requirements. These steps are outlined in the Guide to Going Solar (available in English and Spanish) and are relevant to customers installing a solar project on their property. The Project Look Up Tool allows customers to view the status of their project application. Customers can access this information using their Application ID, Disclosure Form ID, or customer email address. The Project Look Up Tool is intended to help customers better understand how close their Approved Vendor (AV) is to receiving the project’s incentive payment (a project may be fully constructed and energized but has not yet received its incentive payment).

To provide customers with additional visibility and clarity on their application status, and because some stages of the application review include sub-stages, the Program has updated the Project Look Up Tool to reflect the project application status more accurately. For step 2 of the Part I Application and step 6 of the Part II Application, the Program has added the following sub-statuses: submission, pending application payment, requests for AV corrections or more information, and verification. Following successful Part II Application Submission & Review, the AV may invoice the utility for the incentive payment. Any pass-through payment to customers would be based on the terms of the Installation Contract.
