Part I and Part II project applications require location information via both a required address submission and an optional submission for latitude and longitude coordinates.
The Program has been alerted that effective March 11, 2025, PVWatts® Calculator will no longer provide the “address” query parameter to calculate the estimated production for an application as well as the associated contractual REC delivery amount rounded down to the whole REC. Moving forward, users will be required to enter location information using latitude and longitude parameters.
The Program is updating relevant Part I and Part II fields in the Portal which will make latitude and longitude coordinates required for all projects, including a requirement for users to add coordinates for all projects to Part II, Section 1 (if missing) to support Capacity Factor calculations. A maintenance window to implement these changes, making the coordinates fields required, in the Portal has been scheduled for March 10, 2025, from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. CPT during which time the Portal will be unavailable. Prior to the changes, the Program will provide Approved Vendors additional guidance, and a latitude and longitude lookup resource. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
